Easy Inlay's jewelry-grade cultured opals contain the fire typically seen in rare, natural opals. They are optically and physically identical to those found in nature, but their color will never fade. Large 2-3mm grains with brilliant facets of noticeable fire fill larger voids, and they are easy to crush to fill smaller spaces, too. Krakatoa FINE grains are 2mm, 30 mesh. 2 grams fill 30" by 1/8" deep by 1/8" wide.

Just started using a combination of Marianas coarse and fine z opal inlay in Koa, coated with Solarez Doming Resin. WOW, its spectacular, really sparkles. The doming resin cures glossy and smooth as well. Picture below does not do it justice.
This is the second time I've bought the synthetic opal, and it's a great product! The flash and fire is spectacular, and my order came with a CA applicator tip and a small tray to help with applying the opal. I'd 100% recommend giving it a try.
