I have made over 40 rings using ceramic and other. materials with FIJI cultured Opal. I start sanding with 100 grit, 150, 220, 400 and then 1500 sponge pads to 12,000 grit and then buff. It makes a very nice looking ring.
I added some gold flake to enhance the look.
